AWB Adelaide is a South Australian business providing dedicated hat bin recovery to distribution centres and large-scale produce operations since 2022.
AWB Adelaide Pty Ltd was established in 2022 to address a specific gap in Australia's produce supply chain: hat bins — the large cardboard bulk containers used to transport produce such as watermelons and pumpkins — were routinely entering the waste stream in recoverable condition, because no dedicated service existed to collect and process them at scale.
We built a focused operation around that problem. Our remit from the outset was straightforward: attend sites on schedule, manage all handling and transport, and maintain accurate records of every collection. That remains the standard we hold ourselves to.
Today, AWB Adelaide operates across the northern Adelaide industrial corridor, recovering tens of thousands of bins each year for return to productive use through growers and produce packers across South Australia.

Scheduled collections occur on the confirmed date. When circumstances require a change, we communicate that proactively — not after the fact.
Every collection is documented.
Timestamped photo evidence is recorded at the point of pickup for every collection. Your sustainability and compliance teams have access to this data without needing to request it.
Complete reporting, not selective reporting.
Non-recoverable material is logged alongside recoverable material, with the reason recorded. Our clients receive an accurate account of all bins handled — not just the positive figures.

AWB Adelaide operates as a dedicated hat bin recovery service. We do not offer broader waste contracting. That focus is what allows us to operate reliably at the volumes our clients require.

Every hat bin returned to circulation represents a direct diversion from landfill and a reduction in demand for new materials. AWB Adelaide tracks and reports this diversion rate to clients on a continuous basis through our client portal, providing data that can be incorporated directly into sustainability reporting.
We do not make claims regarding carbon neutrality or offset schemes. Our contribution is documented material diversion — verified at the point of collection and available to your team on demand.
